On the first three days we saw the German school´s life. The school is very friendly and quite big. The canteen is also very big, like the school, the food is delicious. We got to know the village and people who live there. We would like to live here, and we are happy to be here! Petra, Fanni, Bence

Slovak team in Germany

Greatings from the Slovak team in Melsungen. We are very happy to be here. We  worked together in mixed international groups on old jobs on Tuesday and on new jobs on Thursday. We visited the smith, baker, farmer and builder, learnt about jobs that do not exist any longer. We try to make things the old fashioned way to see, how hard the work was without modern technologies. We got the chance to see how these jobs are done now and compare it.

We talked about what could be improved in our school so we are better prepared for our future.

We have met lots of new friedns and very nice people. We have enjoyed staying with host families, learning about their life and habbits. We had lots of fun and we have learnt a lot about jobs, cultures of other countries and ourselves as well. THANK  YOU!!!

Our visit to the Burgsitzmuseum.

Monday 20th May. We went  to visit the Old jobs museum, Burgsitzmuseum in Spangenberg to know about old jobs, such as blacksmith, weaver, shoemaker and cabinet maker. they are all old jobs now.

There were some people restoring the important building called Burgsitz, situated in the square, an old building owned by noblemen in the past.

How did we feel here?

We are very good here. We are feeling very well,our host families are very nice. We are doing a lot of interesting things in the school , but it's a little bit different from our Jacint Verdaguer school in Sant Sadurni d´Anoia. We went to Kletter Park, and we had  funny moments with all the Comenius students and teachers from here,and from other countries as well. After we went to Kassel to visit the Fountain of Hercules, all visitors went down the stairs and later we went shopping in the centre. There is a good athmosphere!

Finnish Team in Melsungen

Hallo, Grüsse aus Deutschland! On Thursday we visited B.Braun, a family owned pharmaceutical company. It was founded in 1839 in Melsungen. Mrs Tessin gave us a tour. We learned about their and their training programme. They have 6300 employees, which is 50% of the population of Melsungen. In the Marketing Department we met lady from Taiwan and a gentleman who is from India. Today we worked in groups discussing what we had learned. We made presentations about old and new jobs. Our last Spanish-Catalan Comenius Team

We are very excited about travelling to Spangenberg on the 18th May to work with Comenius students and teachers. We are Laia Suils, Laia Albiol, Marta Estruch, Anna Jiménez, Berta Guimerà, Ariadna Lázaro and Marta Mata. We hope to see you very soon. Our teachers Ma Dolors Virgili and Helena Garcia are very happy to travel as well. Txema Arenas is also going to travel to Spangenberg to finish and share the Comenius project experience, but he will get there on Friday. Best wishes to you all.

A local business doing well.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park is a fairly new business that has established itself as a being one of the most exciting and popular attractions across Yorkshire. Thousands of people go every week and the park is expanding continually to become even better and more impressive.
A few years ago there was a small selection of animals with lots of empty fields, but now it is filled with animals from across the world, with even more to come as well. Due to this success much more jobs are being opened up which obviously helps the whole of Doncaster.
